I’ve been very happy with Ropieee for many years now, and I’m still very happy. Just wondering, does it make sense to update things? Or does “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” apply here? Here are my Ropieee devices:
There are updates. However, it seems that you haven’t taken them.
How does one take them?
Open a web browser, and enter the IP address of one RPi, and click on update. Repeat for each RPi: these are listed on a separate tab.
Note that this applies only to the “Kitchen Amp.” All other Ropieee devices have this screen:

I think you need to reflash your SD card to move beyond version 4.020, but @spockfish should be able to confirm.

Yes, manual installation is needed for all RPi, which means reflashing the SD cards. This applies to “Kitchen”, too, as this is also running an outdated version, although not the terminal release.
Guess the question here should be - What is the benefit? All works now.

Guess this is the most appropriate thread to report the Ropieee update issue which I discovered today and for which I uploaded feedback 599239cc23f928af
Auto Update is selected for some time already on the Stable Update Channel and so I did not monitor the update status anymore on a regular basis, until today. It appears that the RopieeeXL update process got stuck at release 2023.04 and while there is a notification that a new update “undefined” has been downloaded and is available for installation, there are no more INSTALL or CONFIGURE buttons available
Meanwhile I can still enjoy music playing using the well appreciated UPnP Bridge functionality of RopieeeXL towards my Marantz Melody Media 
The buttons are there, just not on a small screen.

Any particular reason why Auto Update cannot be selected, also after successful update to 2023.05.1 ?
You need to have a reboot schedule configured, otherwise auto update can not be selected.
