Updating Music files on attached HDD on Roon Nucleus

I have had my Nucleus for a little while now and I have a copy of the files I have on my Melco (on a different Network) copied to the Hard Disc attached to the Roon Nucleus

I want to update the music on this HDD - do I just unplug the HDD from the Nucleus, attach it to my mac and reformat it then add the new file structure that I want (the latest back up of my Melco) or is there an easier way?

Just to clarify, are the files on the Melco and the Hard Disc the same (i.e. all of the music are duplicates, even if the files structure is different)?

Before making any change, I’d highly recommend making a backup of your Roon database.
