USB DAC not showing on iPad remote

I can play just fine to my Gustard DAC from the core on my iMac….but on my iPad, iPhone, etc…I only get Mac System Audio as an output choice which isn’t the same thing. Usually system audio is set to the desktop speakers. The Gustard is not an option on the iOS devices. Only the iMac.

I can change the Mac system audio out to the DAC …but that’s a pain.

Am I doing something wrong in setup?
