Describe the issue

Selecting USB DAC in Audio Setup Causes All Local Devices to Disappear. Specifically, if I "Enable" the "Schist Bifrost Unison USB" device, then the entire "This Mac" section of the Audio setup pane disappears. To get it back, I have to quit the Roon app, delete the RAATServer folder in my Library folder, and then reopen the Roon app. I can play through the Bifrost device by selecting "System Output" and setting the MacOS system output to that device. But I can't select it directly in Roon. This did work a few months ago, with the same computer, DAC, cables, network, etc. For troubleshooting, I also tried deleting the "RAATServer" folder on my Roon server while the server software was not running, but it did not make a difference.

Describe your network setup

Mesh network (Eero). I have no networking issues and can play through other devices attached to the same computer.

Hey @amg,

Thanks for taking the time to share your report!

A great first step in troubleshooting!

Can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network, and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.

With that, can you please reproduce the issue, and share a more specific date, time, and if possible, name of track attempted to play? From there, we’ll enable diagnostics on our to investigate further.

Thank you! :raised_hands:
