USB or Ethernet?

Hi all,

Just bought a Cambridge Audio 851N V2 and am using a brand new Mac mini as a server.

Mac is currently attached to the 851N by a high quality USB class 2 audio cable so only seem to be able to stream music through the USB input on the 851N but can control Roon through my iPad.

Couple of questions - is this the best solution for sound quality or should I use an Ethernet cable? And if I use an Ethernet cable - will the artwork show on my 851N?

Ethernet would be preferred, connected to the same network as your core and remote - and I think you should see the album art then too.

I definitely recommend checking out our documentation on Sound Quality, but generally USB vs Ethernet is for a certain device is very subjective — Definitely try them both and see what works best for you!

The cxn v2 is roon ready on network too but make sure you have updated to the latest firmware.
