Use existing album art

I have spent countless hours obtaining and attaching perfect album art to each album and include a folder file in each album folder. Yet when roon catalogued my music files, in many cases it ignored my perfect album art for it’s own inferior looking album art. How can I change this and get my original album art back?

You need to edit the album, select metadata and select the album art from the files/folder.

Thanks for the answer, but this is not very convenient and time consuming. There should be a setting up front where you can designate you want to use existing album art when grabbing metadata from the files.

This is coming, but for now you can select all your albums and just edit the cover art settings all at once.

To clarify:

• Go to the album browser (Albums).
• Ctrl+A (Win) or cmd+a (Mac).
• Edit (top right).
• Metadata preference tab.
• Artwork (3rd item down): “Select File” (middle radio button)
• Save.
