Using a KEF LS150W IR Remote with Roon

Hi,

Is there any way I can configure Roon to use all the features of my IR Remote control that came with my KEF LS150W speakers? I.e. Pause, Play, Skip track forwards/backwards etc?

yes you could. Buy a FLIRC device, and make use of a RaspberryPI (that could run a RoonBridge) and install the following project. https://github.com/smangels/roon-ir-remote.
Once the unit is placed close to where the speakers are located it will turn those “transport” commands into Roon transport commands targeting the configured Roon zone. The FLIRC USB device is prgrammable so in theory we could send commands from different remote controls to different zones as well. :slight_smile:
