Using iPad to control Mac zone AND play to iPad [answered]

I have upgraded Roon Remote on my iPad from 1.3 to 1.4 to playback music stored on my MacBook or streamed from TIDAL. Outstanding upgrade. Can I still configure Roon Remote on my iPad to control playback on my MacBook, which is connected to my Resonessence CONCERO HD DAC via a USB cable?

Absolutely! The iPad app does nothing more, or less, than exactly that.
What is new in the version you installed is the possibility to send the audio from your MacBook to the iPad itself if you’d like.

Roon Remote 1.4 transmits music stored on my MacBook for playback on my iPad, which is an excellent new feature. How do I configure Roon Remote 1.4 on my iPad to control playback on my MacBook?

This is a good place to start, but let us know if you need some more help Alan. Enjoy!

I resolved the problem in Settings > Audio > Device Setup of my DAC and iPad by changing Private Zone from Yes to No.
