Using Nucleus USB Output to Connect to DAC

I want to use my Nucleus as a music server so USB out from Nucleus USB into my DAC.

How to do this?

Measure the distance between them and buy a USB cable that long.

But in all seriousness, I would connect your Nucleus by ethernet to your router or switch. Then, use a Roon bridge such as Raspberry Pi 4 connected by ethernet or WIFI, with a USB cable to your DAC.

Connect your DAC to the Nucleus by USB and power it on. Roon should detect it, and you should see the DAC appear in Roon Settings > Audio, in the “Connected to Roon Server” section. Enable it, then you should be able to select it as output when you play something in Roon.

I am still waiting for the Nucleus One to arrive (in Europe), but according to the above topic:
Is it possible to have the Nucleus One connected - at the same time - to an USB input in a DAC, and through wired ethernet to a streamer bridge. Of course only using one at a time. Will these two endpoints appear in the Roon menu, and can you choose freely between them, of your liking?

Not ‘Of course’. You can play to both of them simultaneously if you want. If your ethernet connected streamer bridge is Roon ready, you will even be able to group them and play the same stream to both.

That sounds nice
My streamer is an Lindemann Limetree Bridge mk2, and it is Roon Ready. It is connected via digital rca (Supra Excalibur) to the digital rca input in my SPL Director mk2. So my intention - when the Nucleus One arrives - is to use the Nucleus connected to the two “endpoints”: Via ethernet through the Lindemann streamer, and via the usb output on the Nucleus to the usb input on the SPL Director. Just for fun to have the two to compare.
