Using Roon while travelling

Roon Core Machine

Intel NUC

I currently have to live in 2 different geographies (countries) for long periods of time (> 2 months at a time). I have one subscription and would like to use that in both places which have NUCs acting as Roon Cores installed in both places. I currently have to “unauthorise” one Roon Core to use the other. I have to switch off the electricity in the place where I am not temporarily residing due to security/cost reasons (so not internet there and therefore cannot use Roon ARC). Music libraries are the same in both places though the sources differ (Bluesound Vault and portable hard drive).

Is “unauthorisation” in one place the best way to use ROON ?

Yes, for you, unauthorizing one location in order to use the other location is your only option, unless you are willing to have TWO roon subscriptions.

Thanks … thought so. Just that playlists etc. created in one place is not available in the other unless created in Tidal / other streaming services.

You can save a backup on one Core and import it on the other

Thanks, will try that on the next visit !
