Volume control slider on iPad jumps to the right increasing volume too much

Core Machine
Nucleus, iPad as frontend

Audio Devices
RME Adi2 Pro and WLM Lisbeth active speaker

Description of Issue

A few times I had the situation that the volume control slider jumps to the right if I tried to reduce the volume with the slider. Unfortunately this has burned my tweeters in both boxes.

I thought it is may be a problem with my iPad but today my friend told me he had now the same problem.

I use DSP Volume control to adjust the volume via the Roon frontend instead with the volume control of the RME ADI 2 Pro.

Do you have any idea what the reason could be?

Hello @Crooner,

Thank you for letting us know of this and for your patience while we got a chance to reply. I’m very sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing when using your iPad as a remote.

It’s terrible that your devices got damaged - I do hope repairs are possible :wrench: . For the future, you could consider setting volume limits (e.g. maximum volume) for your device:

As for your iPad, if you haven’t yet, could you please:

  • uninstall the Roon Remote app
  • restart the iPad
  • reinstall the Roon Remote app

Thanks in advance

Thank you Rebeka. I try it and let you know if I have the volume control issue again.
