Volumio Rivo+: wrong output in signal path

Hi,

I have a volumio Rivo+ connected via SPDIF with my DAC. Now I noticed that in the signal path the output is shown as “USB Output”. I there anything I have to change in the settings I am not aware of?

Rivo+

You won’t see the Rivo, since it is connected via S/PDIF, which has no signalling. Therefore, Roon only displays the device with the S/PDIF interface.

Without seeing the signal path or knowing what device you are using for S/PDIF, I can only assume you are using a USB to S/PDIF dongle.

If the DAC supports USB, use that interface.

Hello, i don`t know if it is a matter of Volumio or Roon. I`m using a Volumio Rivo+ as a RoonReady device and Rock on Nuc7. The DAC is connected with AES/EBU or SPDIF connection, but roon recognizes it as USB-output. Is there something wrong with roon ready? If i connect my “old/normal” Rivo in the same way, roon recognizes the digital output. In addition i can not play DSD64 with the Rivo+, but with the “old” Rivo i can do that without problems, when i use the same device connection. Any su…

However, it seems to be solved in my case. I changed the output to USB (my DAC supports both) and back to S/PDIF, now the signal path is shown as expected.
