Waltzing Matilda

Sorry. Just saw THIS! Never seen it before, and might be something you might appreciate a bit more.

Ha ! For a giant clown he sings it beautifully straight.

But a Scotsman named Eric Bogle stole That Song and our hearts in the process:

Also of course, Tom:

Holey Moley Andybob! That is one serious tearjerker! Need a Kleenex…

Wow. That should be required viewing for everyone. Everywhere. It would help keep us properly grounded. And - of course - a great reminder of Australia’s under appreciated sacrifice in so many conflicts.

Wow. Well I’m not even going to try to top that. To do so would be disrespectful. Thanks for sharing that though. I’ll be hanging onto that link.

I’m gonna have to move back to the clown, if for no other reason than a bit of comic relief! Still got a full day ahead of me, but I KNOW a Scotsman’s voice singing a song to the tune of Waltzing Matilda is going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day…

Not waltzing Matilda but on a similar moving theme.

Cara Dillon covered a traditional Irish track called There were roses

It was featured on a Billy Connely documentary about the Northern Irish conflict and its truly beautiful. Worth a listen.
