Was the multiple versions of same album tracks mixing problem solved?

I have multiple versions of the same albums (aiff ripped from CD, FLAC from download, re-issue, re-master, etc) have we solved how to keep ROON from mixing up tracks from different versions? Sorry if question is answered elsewhere but I can’t find it if so.
Also is there a guide to properly formatting metadata? I’m about to add A LOT of albums that came from downloads and other random sources and I’d love to fix them before I add them rather than after…

Is this content from local files, TIDAL, or Qobuz?

Can you describe the problem? I have many albums in different versions (download FLAC, CD rip, vinyl bonus mp3, Qobuz, Tidal) and it never mixed up versions for me. But I’ve used Roon for about 4 years, so if there was an earlier problem I might not know.
