Hi @Roger_Smith,

Thanks for the report. This ERR-UNKNOWN-URL-SCHEME error on Astell&Kern devices typically indicates that the device’s operating system (specifically the internal Android WebView component) is outdated or doesn’t support the specific deep-linking required to pass the login token back to the Roon ARC app.

To our knowledge, Astell&Kern has added Google Chrome to their supported apps list (Open APP Service) to help mitigate this.

Could you please try the following:

  1. Install Google Chrome on your A&K device (if available in their store/service).

  2. Try the login process again, ensuring the page opens in Chrome rather than the stock browser.

If installing Chrome does not resolve the issue, this is a limitation of the specific firmware on your player preventing the URL scheme hand-off. In that case, you will need to reach out to Astell&Kern support directly regarding a firmware update or workaround.

Thanks Vadim - at least it’s not something I’ve done wrong! Many thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

Cheers! Roger
