Weeding out garbage tracks?

There seems to be an increasing spate of people (or is it AI?) unleashing garbage albums/tracks on the world through services like DistroKid, under the names of established artists. These then end up polluting the databases of music services.

In the last month or so, at least 9 singles have been dropped that are attributed to Alan Parsons as the artist. They are most definitely not his work.

The tracks initially appeared in TIDAL, but TIDAL seems to have since purged them (they don’t appear in TIDAL’s app anymore).

However, they do still appear in the discography on Roon, with an icon showing TIDAL as the source.

Is there a procedure in place to get this garbage content removed from the Roon database?

These albums appear to have been pulled.

Excellent.

For future reference, were they removed as a result of this thread? I.e., is this the correct way to report such things?

Or did the removals just happen to come about through some other (as yet undisclosed) procedure?

The streaming services got wind of the issue separately. It’s worth reporting these issues; there may not be much we can do though (but we might be able to mitigate slightly).
