What Android DAPs allow installation of third party .apk files?
My old Plenue D3 did. But I left that behind; it is an old device that is of limited quality compared to my Opus #1.
An Opus #1 or #2 quality device that allows me to manually install the Roon Remote apk… and it works right. That is what I’m looking for.
For those saying, just use the mSD card. Yes, set for space with a 400 & 256 Gig (and 200s, lol). But…
Why run Roon Remote on quality DAP and stream to it, instead of play off my sd cards?
- Roon UI & experience.
- Roon Radio.
- DSP filters. (Should probably be my #1) Specifically the Audeze iSine 20 DSP, applied to my output, that would be the DAP. The resulting stream is far superior to the 10 band EQ in my Opus #1.
I have a Chord Mojo. I should buy the Poly which is Roon Ready and be done with it; it’s just so expensive!
