I would like to be able to identify the files that regularly appear in the clean up library so I can correct them, delete them or whatever is appropriate.
Whenever a scan has taken place I end up with 104 files that need to be cleaned up. I run a NAS and have 77000 files so it is a tiny minority of them.

- Reboot your Core machine
- Perform clean up library
- Rescan so that the files appear here again
Respond here with the time you do each of those and we will enable diagnostics so the team can take a look.

I just had a chat with the team about their findings, and they’ve traced the files in question to the below files.
The team thinks that there may be something that is changing the modification times on these files which is causing this behavior to occur. Are there any apps on the Core that may have access to these files and may be changing them? Something like backup software?

Knowing what files they are and where they are stored is helpful.
I am going to re-encode the files of the first album and see if that overcomes the issue.
If so I will do the rest.
And I need to move those playlist files at the end of the list to a different place.

It seems Roon has antipathy to these files even when re-encoded.
They arrive and are there until either they are analysed or a rescan
and then out they go
I have done a fair bit of experimentation.
With the BErnstein album, this was a free download from Society of SOund ( a Bowers & Wilkins subscribers club for customers). I went as far as redownloading it and starting from scratch and adding to my library a few times.
It will play in itunes etc.
Roon looks at it and it is wiped. I did get one episode when it had been analysed and the files were grouped into acts. So it looked as though we were sorted.
When i went to play it, I got a notice saying album deleted in roon.
Some of the other tracks that are in the clean up, i had better luck with by retagging and re encoding. I have to finish that task though.

Description Of Issue
I would like to be able to identify the deleted files that regularly appear in the clean up library so I can correct them, delete them or whatever is appropriate.
Whenever a scan has taken place I end up with 249 files that need to be cleaned up. I run a NAS and have 80k+ files so it is a tiny minority of them.
Recall this issue occurred in March with support log title

Previously we had indentified some of the albums that seemed to be affected here. Could you send us the Bernstein Wonderful Town album via a shared Dropbox link in a PM so we can take a look and see if that album causes the same issue for us?

I would but that is not going to help us. Bernstein wonderful town is ok.
It is not any of the original files from March which were being deleted now.
I solved the issues with them by either re-ripping or re-encoding or by re-tagging them.
My problem is that I now have 249 additional tracks that are being routinely deleted and I do not have a log of which ones so I cannot go and repair them.

Moving forward, I’d like to enable some diagnostics on your account once more. First, I was hoping that you could do the following again, and make note of the team you do each step:
- Reboot your Core machine
- Perform clean up library
- Rescan so that the files appear here again
Respond here with the time you do each of those and we will enable diagnostics so the team can take a look.
