What can I do to improve my signal path on my LG V40 phone?

What are some of the settings to go from green to lossless here?

Thanks in advance!

You cant at the moment as Roons Android app does not circumnavigate the resampling of Android OS. Its the same for any external DAC connected as well. They are apparently working on a full refresh of Android so it can. For now it’s a waiting game.

Is that the LG V40 TinQ or another variant? The LG V40 ThinQ has an ES9218P HiFi SoC with 32-bit stereo channels so it should not convert 24 bit to 16 bit.

That’s weird, considering the phone touts itself as MQA, don’t you think? I guess I’ll just run straight through the Tidal app for now.

Check the settings in Device Setup / Advanced.
You may want to share a printscreen of your settings.

That is your signal path. You need to open device settings.
Click on the loudspeker icon and then the cog wheels.
See this kb article.

It will still be system output though, you don’t get bit perfect in Roon on Android at all.

Sure, but I would expect an Android phone with a 32 bit DAC to keep the the bit depth at 24.

It should if the OS is reporting it correctly. I don’t get downsampling on my phone.
