I’ve always found it interesting how some games stay enjoyable long after you first discover them. Sometimes it’s because of the gameplay, while other times it’s the nostalgia or the community around the game.
Recently I’ve been spending some time exploring Plants vs. Zombies and some of the fan-made projects inspired by the original games. I’ve also been keeping notes about different versions and updates in this gaming resource.
What games do you find yourself returning to again and again? Are there any older games that you still enjoy more than many newer releases?
LOL, does solitaire count? With real cards not on PC or console.
On PC I like Subnautica series, DayZ, Sniper Elite series (mostly 5 and resistance)
Oh and I like the AC130 missions on COD, install the game every so often just to run that mission. Heh… Boom
You’ll be very happy with the new free update when it comes out then Geoff?
I’m tempted to purchase Witcher 3 for my PS5 Pro, I haven’t played any of the Witcher games, will that matter? I’ve watched the demo for Witcher 4 several times and it looks fantastic, hopefully the game follows through.
I love the Horizon games and I regularly go back into Forbidden West just to wander around and fight robots and generally take in the world itself, it’s simply stunning.

Honestly I can’t remember when I last played a PC or even phone game.
Used to be pretty addicted in my youth but then I outgrew my Commodore 64.
Used to be shoot em ups with a fantasy theme like Doom.
It’s not really necessary to play Witcher 1 and 2 before 3, although it does mean that you get a fuller introduction to the world and the major characters. I didn’t play 1 and 2 until after I had completed 3 and its two DLCs - more through curiosity than anything else. 3 stands head and shoulders above 1 and 2 on all fronts - graphics, size of the open world, number of characters and depth of the stories - and the choices you make will lead to dozens of different outcomes.
I envy anyone who is coming to Witcher 3 for the very first time - they are in for a treat.
