What happens in Roon when Endpoint is stopped/powered off?

Maybe a stupid question, but what is actually happening with the streaming process in Roon (server) when you stop an endpoint by powering it off.

  1. Roon Ready streamer
  2. Logitech Squeezebox Touch
  3. others such as Chromecast, …

You can look at the log files, you’ll get a pretty good idea. Basically, the core has a network connection open to the endpoint when it’s streaming. When the endpoint is shut off, the core will get an error on that connection when it attempts to read from or write to the connection. That error will trigger the connection shut-down code in the core.
