What is ALSA format to my DAC

I have got Ropieee working

I see in the signal path the final stage is RAAT to ALSA , have I missed something

What format should be passes to my DAC ! It’s An Audiolab M-DAC

It’s a format I haven’t come across before , not being a Linux user

Do I need to change config ?

No, ALSA is the resource in Linux that talks to a DAC so all of the Linux solutions be they Ropieee, DietPi, ROCK or plain Debian will mention ALSA the same as Windows will let you know you are working with ASIO or… what’s that other one? Must be my age!

Further digging , it looks like its a PCM stream like any windows stream would be just with another name
