I keep recommending this, but when Simon Mayo made it album of the week, today, and played āLoveās Unkindā, I just had to go back to the 192K MQA versionā¦just wonderful.
As with Chic, Donna Summer, via Moroder, is the disco that even prog fans can appreciate.
this is a lovely album.

Whilst Iām not quite sure of Andris Nelsonsā abilities as a conductor, there is no denying that there is much to enjoy here, impressively recorded and thrilling in MQA.
Try the famous opening from āAlso Sprach Zarathrustraā, Salomeās āDance of the Seven Veilsā, and the lovely āRosenkavalier Suiteā.
Similarly not sure what to make of this recording of my favourite Mendelssohn Symphony; āItalianā (No. 4)ā¦is it too Italian?
Still, check out the last movement, which remains one of the most thrilling of all symphonies, after Beethoven 7.

Of the wave of younger conductors, I find NĆ©zet-SĆ©guin the most musical, and have enjoyed his Beethoven in the concert hall.
With the same orchestra that Harnoncourt conducted in his celebrated cycle, this could be very goodā¦full cycle due mid-July. For now, one of Beethovenās finest moments, in 192K MQA.
