What to install on second computer

Nucleus running current Roon

Description of Issue

Running Core on Nucleus with no issues. Using MacOS Ventura as server.

I have a second MACOS running Ventura. I just want to use that Mac to access and play from ROON.

Confused as to what I should install based on the list on the download page I have the following options for MacOS:

  1. Roon
  2. Roon Server
  3. Roon Remote (not available for MacOS)
  4. Roon Bridge

I could use an assist on what to download and install if I just want to use Roon from a second Mac. Do not want Multiple Roon Core or License. Just another access.

I could use a assist.

Thank You

Just download Roon for your Mac. It will give you the option of connecting to the Core running on the Nucleus when you first run it.

PS. Not entirely sure what you mean with “Using MacOS Ventura as server.” Do you mean that you are using Roon on it as the Control of the Core on the Nucleus?

Geoff,

So sorry. Yes, I am using Mac OS to control for Core on Nucleus.

I will install Roon on second Mac. I am brand new and just do not want to screw up the basics.

Thank you much.

Download and install the Roon software. When it installs it will give you two choices.

  1. Log into your Roon Nucleus
  2. Install on this Mac

If you choose (2), it will install the full Roon software on the Mac making it another core and Roon control device.

If you choose (1), it will allow you to use the Mac as a Roon control device, but not another core.

All,

That got me going. Just was not sure about bridge vs Roon on secondary computers. I get it now.

Thanks to all

FYI “bridge” makes it an endpoint with no control GUI.

Got it. Thx.
