Just received a 90 day Tidal trial, but I saw it’s on Spotify, so will check it out there, thanks!
This album opened me up to a whole new style of music when I was 18 years old.
Still sounds as good as ever.
Had an opportunity to see this group play ten or so years ago. Steve Kuhn is consistently under-appreciated. This album includes my favorite recording of Ron Carter’s Little Waltz, and also an excellent re-interpretation of Charlie Parker’s Confirmation.
Larry Coryell passed this weekend. With Bitches Brew, one of my first exposures to jazz. Sad to say goodbye to another great musician.
Playing a Live Blues EP right now, and the Shreveport Sessions (also live). But his studio album “Baby O!” sounds good too. Great acoustic guitar playing, thanks!
P.S. “Baby O!” somehow reminds me of Eric Taylor. Are you familiar with his 1995 album? Great too!
O man! I just love this album. Vocalist Buddo is great.
Agreed
Bit of a recent discovery for me and this my kind of time and my kind of music!
