Something special: American opera soprano Renée Fleming singing jazz. Not that special or unique in itself, but she does so very well, sometimes sounding almost like Anita Baker. Mostly, classically trained voices sound a bit harsh and shallow when singing crossover, but hers is really soulful, sometimes even sounding “black”.

Plus… she’s accompanied by Fred Hersch and Bill Frisell. Recommended!
