Just learned about this. Jon Benjamin, who doesn’t know how to play piano, plays piano while professional jazz musicians back him up.

In Memoriam. A decent number of the Queen of Soul’s albums are in Tidal as MQA.

Still an awesome song 50 years later.

Something special: American opera soprano RenĂ©e Fleming singing jazz. Not that special or unique in itself, but she does so very well, sometimes sounding almost like Anita Baker. Mostly, classically trained voices sound a bit harsh and shallow when singing crossover, but hers is really soulful, sometimes even sounding “black”.

Plus
she’s accompanied by Fred Hersch and Bill Frisell. Recommended!

New jam from this talented multi-instrumentalist.

Can’t wait for her album, out in a couple weeks.
