Written by Desmond Childe for Bonnie, when it didn’t perform well on the charts, he reworked the lyrics with Bon Jovi and turned it into “You Give Love a Bad Name”. In her honor you should give the original version a shot.

The rest of the album is a good listen, the opening Jim Steinman track is typically bombastic and one I don’t think Meatloaf ever redid.

@Rugby got to the Bonnie Tyler song this AM. Was shocked how much it did indeed resemble You Give Love a Bad Name. Watched Desmond Child do a concert a while back and was very disappointed…it seems the performers are bringing something special to the stage.

Well Desmond wrote both versions, but, that is not unusual in rock history. Songwriters have “re-tooled” previous songs for a new artist. Bryan Adams did it along with his long-time writing partner Jim Vallance.

Example, BTO’s “Jamaica” on their Rock n’ Roll Nights.(Jamaica (song) - Wikipedia) album, was, re-done into Rick Springfield’s “Kristina” on his 1982 album Success Hasn’t Spoiled Me Yet.

Great Song and a great Mix vs the Bright Mix. Might be the best of the new tracks for the upcoming album.
