Amazing, the police visited me about the time you were playing Synchronicity…they didn’t have guitars though, just technology & tasers…
I have no prejudices against people I don’t know personally…
not my taste, but listenable and a musthave, cause it´s part of the “1001 Albums you have to hear before you die”
My wife asked me yesterday “what are the squiggles on that green tee-shirt?”
Where do you start? Well, the feather is Robert Plant…Anyway, got there in the end
Spinning the genre-bending hip-hop masterwork, Aquemini. I was working in R&B/Rap recording studios in ATL just before OutKast recorded this, and I remember thinking at the time that this album was a giant step forward for Hip Hop. This is probably the first time I’ve spun it since shortly after it was released, and it’s still a watershed album.
I just picked up a used copy of that book and have dipped my ears in new stuff and revisited things I haven’t played in a while. I’m also queuing up stuff using the original 2003 Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list as well as Uncut Magazine’s 500 Greatest Albums of the 70s and their 500 Greatest Albums of the 60s newsstand specials. It’s a fun way to prompt yourself to actually spin records you’ve seen numerous times but have never heard.
More Rod…
Interesting this one has the labels mixed up, side 1 label on actual side 2 of record and vice versa.
Thought you pack them all away
Temperature levels are getting annoying again … time for some relaxed music and a beer to cool down… have a nice one!
Earworm fulfilled. UK Jackson Five copy band. Strange that ROON search finds a different band
Such a great song.
I know the feeling…64 years young and still going…just…
