I see bloody Apple at it again, obsoleting older iPads and iPhones again.
This time it’s a bit more nefarious imho.
iOS 26 requires 14.56gb free space to update.
32gb iPads even with every app deleted you are allowed to still only has 13.66gb free space.
Disgraceful yet again on Apple part.

Yep, one reason I’m heading back to Android based devices from next year.

Apple have a very decent support lifetime, but tying apps to their iOS version has always been a serious issue for end users, and getting supported apps for anything but the latest version has always been a disaster.
At lease with Android the play store and support system still support 8-10 year old versions of Android, that really have no reason to still be working, but Google do put in the work to keep them running.

Yep, I will not be changing from the Google Pixel Pro line of phones anytime soon.
I just had two iPad laying around just really for controlling and browsing Roon, a Mini4 and a pro8, shame Apple want to obsolete the pair when nothing at all wrong with them.
The Pro8 only has 32gb and the mini4 does have 64gb but Apple already stopped updating that past iOS15.

They will likely be missing some functionality that Apple is wanting from the processor for Kernel use.
But it is disappointing, my iPhone XS Max is in a similar situation as well.
