When changing songs with different sample rates music stops

Hi!

I have a DigiOne Signature with 2024.09.1 (1802) [STABLE] and encounter following issue:

When changing songs with different sample rates, my DAC can’t recognize them and play. Not always, but often. Happens on my KEF LS50 WII and Topping D90.

When I switch from 44 to 192 it works sometimes or not. Usually bringing it down to 44 with another song helps. Roon always continues to play music, but no output.

What might be the issue here? @spockfish

Just have roon upsample everything to the same samplerate

I also have a DigiOne Signature running Ropieee - and it handles sample rate changes without issue (in my case to a musical fidelity dac).

Given you have issues sending to both KEF and Topping, my guess is that it’s some sort of hardware issue with the DigiOne.

You could try taking the boards apart and reseat everything - if there is a poor connection this can help.

If you can reproduce the issue you could sent @spockfish feedback when it happens and he can see if there is anything in the log.

Worst case do as @MarcMarc says and just upsample everything to 192. I have another HAT that clicks when changing sample rate - and do this to avoid the problem!

I got a replacement board fairly quick and I can say, that it was a hardware issue. Now since half an hour it works without glitches.

After the weekend I can confirm that all is well!

Allo is also back in business again which is great!
