When will Roon be able to keep Qobuz playlists synched?

I find it crazy that the premier software of its kind cannot do something as simple as keeping playlists synched from Qobuz. From what I gather by reading on this forum, this is simply and legitimately beyond Roon’s capability. My mind is blown. Why even show me all my Qobuz playlists if they’re all outdated?

My question now is simple. Is this capability being developed, and—if so—when can we expect it?

This issue is not specific to my hardware, so I’m not including details about it.

Roon syncs content for Qobuz whenever we receive it from their servers, which is not necessarily in real-time. However, certain blockages such as network infrastructure problems, firewalls, geographic distribution variation, and geo-IP restriction have been known to interfere with Qobuz synchronization for particular pages.

Let’s take a look at the particular playlists you’re finding fail to sync.

  1. First off, are they Qobuz Editorial playlists (such as new release compilations), or are they custom playilsts from your Qobuz account?
  2. Where did you create these playlists? In Roon, the Qobuz app, or the Qobuz web player?
  3. If you navigate to Roon → Settings → Services, click on Qobuz and “Sync Library Now,” do the playlists update?
  4. Are you using a VPN or proxy server? In particular, are you using a Qobuz account from a different country than that from which you are currently connecting?

Thanks for the response. You seem to be suggesting that Roon is capable of keeping Qobuz playlists synched. This is the first such sentiment I’ve seen from Roon on these forums. If Roon is already capable of this, many other users and I are experiencing a technical issue. I’m hopeful that we can sort this out after a bit of back & forth and that this thread will be helpful to others experiencing the same issue. Answers inline below.

    The one I would really like to see synched properly is ‘My Weekly Q’, which is created by Qobuz & updated weekly. In Roon, this playlist contains the music from the week I signed up for and installed Roon many months ago.

    No, this doesn’t apply to me.

Hi. I just checked mine and all my Qobuz playlists are synced in Roon and i can also see all the Qobuz made playlists such as new releases and weekly recommended. As far as I can tell all playlists are present in both Roon and Qobuz. Are you looking in the Qobuz section of Roon rather than your own library area? Otherwise I have no idea…Good luck

So, I just checked, and I see a ton of playlists from Qobuz in Roon, but I do not see “My Weekly Q.” So, if it’s any consolation @Adam_Miner, you are not the only one.

I think that’s because it’s “tailor made”. So it has to be synced on a personal level. In Qobuz you can only play it not❤️it.

Yes, I’m looking in the ‘Qobuz’ section of Roon. I can find the ‘My Weekly Qobuz’ playlist, but it’s not updated.

Fietser was correct about My Weekly Q. It is not really a playlist object that can be shared from Qobuz to Roon.

You can create a playlist in Qobuz which can then be shared to Roon, In Qobuz, click on three dots in the My Weekly Q section and choose, “Add to Playlists”, to create a Playlist. This playlist is a non-updating frozen in time export, that is why the process adds the date to the playlist name.

This Qobuz playlist can be shared to Roon. But, as you’ve seen it will not automatically update. You can, of course, just go into Qobuz and create a new playlist every Friday which will give you a growing library of “My Weekly Q” playlists.

You can create a Feature Request to add such functionality.
