I’ve switched between the ASDM7EC modulators (ul to super) and their 512+fs equivalents.
I’m in SDM256, so I don’t know if it’s an impression, but it seems to me that the 512+fs versions provide a bit more substance and spatiality, as well as more subtlety in the extinction of notes.
Is it OK to be in SDM256 and use the 512+fs filters, or should I stick with the classic ASDM7ECs (ul to super)?
I’m using HQP Desktop 5 / Naa and Holo Cyan 2.
It is my understanding that 512 modulators @256 are OK with up to 96 Khz sources since they then cover up to 50KHz
I’ll try to remember to post some comparison measurements for audio band between the two cases. I particular with Holo Audio I would say the 512fs variants would work pretty nicely also at DSD256.

they do. but I switch to regular for 192 and higher rate sources. Not necessary ?
