Which HQP Filter are you using? [2024]

Thank you very much for that suggestion. I’ve been focusing on these innovative options lately, but as always, the good old classics are reliable! Thanks again.

This is a little off topic but where is the Album Mastering screen at the bottom of your post from?

This is HQPD control app reading HQplayer mirror library

Using the HQPDcontrol app click on the circle :hollow_red_circle: icon I’m showing to get this information

How bad can something get? Encountered one of the highest Apod counter figures so far (this one from Tidal):

Right now Saturday night with Embedded on macOS Tahoe (MacBook Pro M1Max):

This one with BubbleUPnP on Android as controller, over UPnP, from Tidal as well.

Really good filter for Internet radio.

Hi @jussi_laako thank you very much for 6. I dare say the SQ is better than 5’s, whatever is the rational (sw optimisation?)

However I think i could listen to my few dsd 256 files going down to lower sdm modulators. Not sure But for sure i now have to convert to pcm with my M1 max studio Music being jazz i convert to sinc long h @ 705 (can t do 1.4) lns 15 via wec2 pcm noise filter and poly short lp conversion. Fine or you have a better suggestion, Holo May being my dac ?

Also do you have a upnp solution for radio from the ipad (client 5 works but 6 will be welcome for the extra cutting filters). At the moment I installed foobar2000 on the studio but it s not better than getting the internet flow via blackhole. Is it ?

running streaming services and radios via HQP is always facsinating. out of curiosity - did you try “mp3” filters as well?

I did. I actually prefer the hires family for my use case. I listen mostly to DI.FM, and to my ears it improves transients and smooths out some of the harshness in the upper frequencies.

I forgot to mention convolution and dac correction forcing me to convert dsd 256 sources to pcm for my Holo May via my Mac studio M1 max . So for jazz what are the best settings for dsd 256 to pcm conversion ?
