White noise output when playing DSD files after Roon server update (ref#2Y7CEH)

· DSD

Is your device connected directly to the Roon Server via cable or over the network, or is it chained through another device (such as a streamer, Roon Bridge, or Roon Remote)?

· Connected directly to my RoonServer machine

Does the device show up at all in Roon Settings -> Audio?

· The Zone is listed under the wrong protocol

Does the device play audio from another source when using the same connection?

· The device has no problems with another audio source

Have you checked that Roon is whitelisted in any firewalls?

· I've checked the firewall and the issue remains

If the device has multiple output options, do the other options work as expected?

· Multiple output types are affected

Is the device using the latest firmware as per the manufacturer?

· Firmware is up-to-date but the issue remains

What are the make and model of the affected audio device(s) and the connection type?

· roksan dac k3

Describe the issue

When playback dsd files the output from the speakers is white noise sound. However I played perfectly last week. And the only two things that changed were:
1. An update from Roon server
2. My Tidal subscription expired

Any other type of file plays normally.

Describe your network setup

is not from the network devices because it was working last week.

We’re attempting to pull diagnostic logging from your server but the machine appears to be offline.

Please take the following steps at your convenience so we can expedite support of this case.

1. Log into Roon and reproduce the issue with DSD files.

2. Share the name of the track that was playing here along with the approximate timestamp.

Hi,

Thanks for helping out.
Sorry, the machine was offline but it’s now online.

However, I was changing some settings and it seems the problem is now gone.
I have changed:
Resync delay from 0ms to 100ms
Volume control to fixed

Now I’m playing the dsd file:
Album: Mozart: Requiem
Song: Lacrimosa
Everything seems fine.

I realy dont know what it was.

Do you think it had anything to do with the settings?
