White Noise When Using DoP with Roon Server and Emotiva RMC-1 (ref#T00V47)

· I've checked the firewall and the issue remains

If the device has multiple output options, do the other options work as expected?

· Only one output type is affected while the other output type works as expected

Is the device using the latest firmware as per the manufacturer?

· Firmware is up-to-date but the issue remains

What are the make and model of the affected audio device(s) and the connection type?

· Emotiva RMC-1 via HDMI, Matrix Audio X-SPDIF3

Describe the issue

Roon Server(not nucleus nor rock) connect to AV processor(Emotiva RMC-1) via HDMI. It shows active device, and I use DoP but only white noise I can hear. With setting to PCM, it is ok. There is no native DSD option on Roon.
If I use USB to connect Matrix Audio DAC which also support native DSD and DoP, DSD is working but if I set to DoP, same as my AV processor. Only white noise I can hear. Both PCM is working. Single Channel and Multi Channel DSD to PCM working but not DoP. Roon Nucleus also same according to my friend who has same gear as mine but using Nucleus.

DSD DoP via HDMI is not a standard. There may not be a component in the world that supports it. HDMI DSD is either native or converted to PCM.

Thanks for your prompt reply support for my question. You said HDMI DoP is not a standard and there is no component support it but, Emotiva RMC-1 support it. With JRiver Media Server which I’ve used for years support it too, but not Roon…

With Roon Server, my Emotiva AV Processor is connected via HDMI. Then why Roon Server with HDMI connection does not support native DSD? There is no option for it but only PCM or DoP…

Is it not yet supported? If so, is there any schedule for support it in the furure?

If native DSD via HDMI is already supported, why Roon Server does not show this option?
