dsd is being converted to pcm but why? dsp volume is being applied at 40db and i have it set fixed at 0 ???
sample rate conversion setting no longer allows pcm to dsd conversion why? why is there all sorts of sample rate conversions going on when the setting is disabled…why is there a 40db volume being applied when i have the volume fixed and set at 0
Have you checked settings within the streamer itself? Roon settings look good, but if volume control is still enabled within the streamer it will convert to pcm
Has this component setup played DSD previously or is it a new setup? Is Native DSD enabled in the Roon Device Setup?
The dsp is after RAAT so it’s inside the DAC.
ive powered everything off after resetting to defaults and then enabled dsd in device set up and its playing dsd now
Glad to hear you got it sorted. As an FYI, the DSP volume indicator come after the Soundaware D300REF RAAT step. This indicates that Roon is telling you that Roon has handed the audio off to the DAC, and any steps that follows (such as the DSP volume you shared) are happening in the DAC itself, not Roon.
