As many others have observed, there are some record labels missing from Roon’s list. The one I encounter most frequently is “Pristine Audio.” I’ve searched without success for a way to add it to Roon locally. Is there a way that I can add it to my Roon label list? If not, what does it take to get Roon programmers to add it?
I moved this to here as it’s not a feature suggestion.
Maybe I am miss-understanding but you can add or remove labels at will as far as I am aware as roon doesn’t really provide much in the way of label handling functionality. There are regular feature requests on this topic. Roon doesn’t stop you adding/removing any labels you want directly in your file tags or in the roon album editor:
You can then use Search and Focus to group and display your Pristine Audio albums
Tony,
I understand the process you describe but I have not found the way to access the Album Editor screen. How do you do that?
Rand
@Rand_Anderson, the Album Editor is available only on the PC, Mac, or tablet versions of Roon Remote. Select an Album, select the ellipsis (three dots) below the Album title, and an “Edit…” option is available. Select the Edit… option and the third header on the far right, “EDIT ALBUM” allows you to edit all metadata on that Album.
OK. I think I understand the process. Thanks.
Graphically from any album page:
Three Dots → Edit → Edit Album → Scroll down to the Label editing area
Although I was unfamiliar with multi-album form of the album editing page, the single album form is very familiar to me.
Only three of about 20 Pristine Audio albums will identify under that label ID. I have used the same edit steps for all of them. Preferring Roon or file source data makes no difference.
It is not very clear what you are doing. Have you pressed enter after writing “Pristine Audio” into that box? I have no problems at all with literally dozens of specialist labels. Not just Pristine Audio.
By golly! Pressing enter helps a lot!
