Its all in your mind, not real 
This is common, just see people claiming difference in SQ after each upgrade. My claim is that you will not be able to tell which server (read: core) is playing in an ABX test (important that you don’t know which server is currently playing). I’ve done this exercise myself.

Both instances with the exact same settings?
It would be nice to see your before / after signal chain.

Because for a long time you were just relaxing listening to music without analysing it. Then you swapped out the core and you sat down and really listened as you had something new.
They you convinced yourself it sounded different.
Its how the hifi world works.
But no, there was no difference.
