Wife's iPhone can't find remote libraries [Resolved]

hello all. i seek your collective wisdom.

i run Roon on a MacBook that controls a sonicTransporter/microRendu. my iPhone connects to Roon just fine, but my wife’s iPhone is unable to locate the Roon core. she just gets the “looking for remote libraries” message. i’ve typed in the IP address of the sonicTransporter, but no joy.

firewalls are disabled on my Mac and i’ve rebooted both the sonicTransporter and the microRendu. i also reintalled the app on her phone. still no joy.

anything else i should try?

This may seem like a dumb question, but going into Settings > Wifi on the phone, are you on the same network? Some people have a guest network.

Greg, you’re a genius. not a dumb question at all – sure enough, she had WiFi disabled on her phone, for some reason. everything’s working great now. it never even occurred to me to check!
