Hello. I have a Wiim Ultra connected to my Roon server by WiFi. My system consists for a Roon Ultra, Wiim Pro Plus and 3 Chromecast Audio pucks. Both Wiim’s have their Chromecast functionality enabled. I have several google home groups. One contains just the Wiim devices, another contains ALL devices ( 2 Wiim’s + 3 pucks ). If I use Spotify to send music to all 5 devices the display on the Ultra shows album art. If I use Roon to send music, the Ultra display only shows google casting. Why won’t Roon display the data using a google group but Spotify will ??
Isn’t Wiim Roon Ready? It probably would show it all if you used that instead of Chromecast.

Not possible if the OP wants to use a group that includes Chromecast pucks

True, but then one seems to run into Roon’s chromecasting limitations as you’vbe alluded to here previously.
I dunno. A quick glance looks like those were about using a Google Nest Hub as a Roon Display, not the display that is built into a streamer.
I don’t know if the OP‘s issue is expected behavior.
In Roon, If I play to the wiim group only, all is perfect. The Ultra shows the album art. If I play to all, it won’t show album art. Through Spotify, Album art shows up through both groups
