Yes, they are. We define the program rules because it is our program. Is that so hard to understand? You are distributing our code, our property. It makes total sense we get set the rules by which that code is distributed.
NOT AT ALL. In the beginning, everyone obeyed the rules. No one released uncertified product. Only as we got far more popular did we find manufacturers who took our rules less seriously. No longer is that possible. Sept 21 fixed that.
Thank you. Please do not distribute any of our code. RoonBridge, RAAT SDK, etcâŚ
Thereâs so much great hardware to choose from, so many DACs and streamers and what not⌠Software? Not so much. I havenât found anything that could compete with Roon. Digital music distribution and streaming are clearly software-centric and if as to yet so few companies have committed themselves to developing hardware- and operating system-independent integrative solutions, it seems that the entry barrier is fairly highâŚ
Absolutely. Our thinking is that it makes no sense to follow the new bureaucratic and static path that Roon has taken. Thanks for the attention and good luck.
not to provide, or otherwise make available, the Roon Software in any form, in whole or in part (including, but not limited to, program listings, object and source program listings, object code and source code) to any person without our prior written consent;
Of course! Our T&Cs have always stated this, as @ged_hickman1 noted above.
@rob also made this clear to you just a few weeks ago on the 15th of September. You responded asking where this is officially stated and he gave you a link to the above-mentioned T&Cs.
