Will moving files to a new SSD remove all modified databases?

I’m currently using a Rockna Wavelight server with Roon to transfer my music files. The server only has one SSD for storing music, but it’s full, so I’m adding another SSD (Rockna servers can accommodate up to two SSDs). My question is, if I cut and paste the music files from the first SSD to the new SSD, will Roon’s previously modified song data be lost?

I spent a lot of time rearranging the original music files, and I’m worried that transferring the files to the new SSD will erase all my modifications.

Not if you do it correctly and follow the documentation:

If I follow your instructions, will the data I’ve modified be transferred to the new folder? Ultimately, I won’t need to edit it again.

They are the official instructions and their purpose is precisely the ensure that your files are recognized as the same files and the metadata is retained.

If you’re going to move all or part of your music library, please follow the strategy below to ensure Roon can accurately track your files to their new location.
