Will my Nucleus still work if I don't renew my Roon membership?

I have a Nucleus and a recurring Roon membership. If I decide to not renew my Roon membership, will the Nucleus still work?

Without a Roon subscription, it will obviously not work as a Roon server anymore. You could use it as a regular computer, but it will be an overpriced regular computer.

Hi @Shannon_Hale1 , just adding this would involve installing an alternative operating system (as RoonOS is closed) this could be Windows or a Linux distribution of your choice.

Also, as the Nucleus is fanless thermal management should be considered.

If I had a redundant Nucleus, Iā€™d consider selling it to someone that wanted a Roon Nucleus system rather than attempting to repurpose.
