William Sterndale Bennett appears in two places in the list of composers, one under Bennett, William Sterndale, and the second under Sterndale Bennett, William. Each has a list of separate compositions, nothing common. I’ve tried various methods to get Roon to combine these into one composer (I don’t care which one) but nothing has succeeded. My ripping software Musichi uses Sterndale Bennett, William.
I suspect the problem arises from the fact that everything under Sterndale Bennett, William comes from a single Unicorn-Kanchana album not in your standard database, so it has used my file info instead.
Suggestions?
I’m concerned that there may be other composers with similar problems, but I haven’t done a methodical investigation.
