Windows 10 Core playback issue

Add my voice to those experiencing this issue. My core is Windows 10 desktop (Qobuz) to Schiit Bifrost MB via USB DAC. Problem started with version 1.7, system was perfectly stable prior to update.

Hi @Mike_Dunsmore,

So we can better assist you, please provide a brief description of your current setup using this link as a guide.

Make sure to describe your network configuration/topology, including any networking hardware currently in use, so we can have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating.

Does this happen with all endpoints?

How often are you seeing this?

  • Core machine - Windows 10 desktop 64 Bit, i7-4790K 4 Ghz, 16 GB RAM
  • Networking details - computer hardwired to router, ARRIS TM822A
  • Audio devices - Schiit Bifrost MB DAC, connected via USB
  • Library details - Music is stored on internal SSD, less than 100 tracks total. Streaming service: Qobuz.
  • DSP settings - None, Crossfeed, and EQ variously

Streaming music will randomly skip ahead to the next song in the middle of a song, as if I had clicked the forward button (but I hadn’t). This occurs perhaps once every 10 minutes or so on average, but is highly random.

Hi @Mike_Dunsmore,

Are you still seeing this once every 10 minutes?

Have you noticed any patterns in the types of Qobuz content that seems to skip? Any specific tracks that do it regularly?

If you lower the Qobuz quality settings in Roon does that yield any improvement?

Hey @Mike_Dunsmore,

We just released Build 505 with some changes that we think will help here. Can you give it a shot and let us know how things are going?

Thanks!
