Windows 11 Pro - Failed to initialize the Audio device

I have a Nucleus and normally run Roon on my main system. I want to setup my Windows 11 Pro PC (64 Bit) in my office to run Roon and playback locally using a headphone amp and headphones. I added the amp as a device but when I try to play tracks, neither streamed or downloaded tracks will play. I get the message “Failed to initialize the Audio device”. I installed Roon Bridge thinking that was the problem, but I still get the error. Any ideas on how to overcome this error?

Roon requires exclusive control of the audio. IF you have any other software running which has control of the audio device you will get this message. This is the first thing I’d check. (especially if that machine is also used to play games).

Thank you for the response. I made sure nothing else was running. I I turned off everything but a couple of things in the startup menu and rebooted. I then uninstalled Roon, rebooted, reinstalled Roon, rebooted, and still get the same message.
