Hi all,
I was formerly only using Roon on Apple devices but now also use a Windows 11 PC. On this computer Windows 11 apparently identifies the Roon player as a game and activates the Nvidia statistics overlay.
Is this expected behaviour as Roon does something in the background that makes Windows 11 think its a game? Or should this not be happening?
Roon uses OpenGL to display the user interface, and this implementation is essentially the same as a video game.
Having said that, I use a Nvidia graphics card on my Windows 11 PC, and the Nvidia app hasn’t included Roon in its list of programs that can have settings applied to them.

Thank you for the reply.
That does make a lot of sense. My Nvidia dashboard also does not include Roon but when I start Roon, Nvidia pops up in the right corner telling me that the overlay is available with ALT + Z as I was in a game. The MSI Afterburner system overlay also turns itself on automatically.
But with your explanation it does make sense as to why.
