Windows audio not recognized

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

Roon Core Linux 4.13.16 / sonictransport / Roon 1.7

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Ubiquity Unifi wired to core and wireless to remotes

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

Windows 10 laptop (Acer) and headphones, generic

Description Of Issue

Using my Windows Laptop, under Audio in Roon Settings I can not select this Windows 10 computer as an audio zone and therefore can’t listen to music through my windows laptop.

Hi @LuxmanDA-06,

Can you try temporarily disabling the firewall on the laptop?

If you do this and it helps, you’ll just need to place exceptions in the firewall for Roon and RAATServer.
