Description of Issue

I have just installed Roon core on this Windows 10 laptop. I deauthorized my previous Roon install on my Mac mini. I have just installed Roon Remote on a Generation 7 iPad. Roon is open on the laptop. When I try to start Roon Remote on the iPad, it says “searching for core” and gets stuck there. Never picks up the core on the laptop. I’ve gone into Windows firewall & Raat whatever is authorized on both private and public networks (both copies of it). But no communication between Remote & Roon.

I am definitely not a Windows expert, so this is all new territory for me. Please advise. Thanks!

@Glenn_Young, can you check your W10 network settings and confirm they are set to “Private”? Private allows for discovery of your W10 laptop on your home LAN. If this already is set to Private, can you confirm that your W10 laptop Core and iPad Remote are on the same network?
