Although just cosmetic, the Boulder Amp 866 icon is replaced with the generic “speaker” in the Roon Ready dialouge box. Is this temporary or will it be added back. Thanks
You will have the option to edit the zone icon if you select the volume indicator in the lower right, then press the settings cog.
If you need screenshots let me know I can make some to help.
I assume you have the digital module, and the device is a Roon Ready enpoint.
If so, go to Device Settings in Roon, and confirm if the icon is correct or just a speaker.
If it is a speaker, follow @Paul_Whittaker’s instructions and restore the default icon (top left.)
On the other hand, if the device is n’t correctly shown (speaker icon) click on the blue Identify device link, and search for your amp, and select the original icon.
MJW….Following Paul Whittakers instructions, I got the following screenshot. There is no default Boulder 866 integrated amp icon. I am currently trying to find the “blue Identify device link” and have no idea where it is. Please instruct where to find the blue identify device link. Thank you…George Dunham
Yes it is the digital version. The loss of the Boulder 866 icon occured with the upgrade. To be clear, does this mean that roon is not seeing my amp as the roon ready product? or is it only that the icon is missing?
If it is shown in the Roon Ready section of Settings > Audio and if you can enable it there, and if streaming to it over the network works, then it’s still recognized as Roon Ready.
You should report the missing icon in Support → Get Help
Sent to Support.
Go to Roon’s
> Audio screen and click on the
icon in the Boulder Amplifiers 866 entry in the list of audio devices. That will open the Device setup screen, and the “Identify this device” link is shown there. Click it. For example:
